Interview with Armand Rosamilia
Armand Rosamilia
What’s your favorite thing about the writing process?
Seeing where the story is actually going. If the character(s) are great, they lead me on the journey and I become a reader, wondering where it will take me.
Three facts about you?
Besides the fact I am so damn sexy? Hmm. I was born in Newark, New Jersey. I have three children. I am not a biker or pro wrestler, even though I look the part. Oh, and all this is currently single, ladies! (sorry, I’ll calm down now).
Do you believe in UFOs? Yes and no. I believe there is life in distant space somewhere but I don’t think they are here practicing crop circles or anally probing hillbillies. I do believe Cthulhu will eventually awaken, though.
What was your favorite cartoon growing up? Star Blazers. Absolutely loved it. And Bugs Bunny, of course.
Would you rather have fame or fortune? Loaded question. Fortune. Fame these days is pretty tacky. I don’t want to be on a reality TV show, but I would like to meet, marry and divorce a Kardashian.
Pick one book that is your all time favorite? Watership Down. I read it every six or seven years, and still have my beat-up copy of it in my collection.
Embarrassing guilty pleasure? I will sing awesome (bad) 1980′s Metal songs at the top of my lungs while driving. My kids hate driving with me.
Are you an introvert or an extrovert? I can be both, but mostly extrovert. I am a seriously crazy flirt when it comes to women, and love to make people laugh. I also love redheads… that is going to be my new thing. Or just women. Haven’t decided yet. Women in thongs. Or breathing. Or… (sorry again)
Favorites:
Muppet – Animal. Everyone loves animal. But I’ve sometimes had too much to drink and gone home with Miss Piggy. Can I say that?
Color- Green. No idea why. I’ve just been saying green since I was a kid. Now, my favorite color of thong is red. Or pink. Or black.
Type of Monster- Always been a zombie fan. Who woulda figured?
Do you speed when you drive? I actually drive like an old man. My kids yell I am doing 42 in a 45. Too busy singing.
Guilty Pleasure? Eating a pound bag of M&M’s while watching a Red Sox game.
Your thoughts on Self Publishing. Big fan. It has opened up many new avenues for me as a long-time author and publisher, but it needs to be tempered with the fact too many bad releases are cluttering up the market.
Your thoughts on Zombies. It’s funny this is a question I ask everyone, and you are a fellow Zombie writer!! I love them. I love reading about them, watching movies about them, and writing about them!
Do you believe in the Loch Ness Monster? No. Sorry. I just don’t think there is a family of Nessie’s swimming out there. But I hope I’m wrong.
Are you a tweeter, a re-tweeter, or you couldn’t care less about Twitter? I am quickly approaching 20,000 followers on Twitter. I didn’t buy any and I added them all myself. I love it. I am addicted.
Would you rather sit on a porch with sweet tea {insert other beverage if tea isn’t your thing} or go hiking with a bottle of water and a smile? Definitely sitting on my butt with sweet tea. No contest.
Your favorite type of music I am a Heavy metal fan \m/
Your favorite color of Skittle I hate Skittles. I only like things covered in chocolate. Like M&M’s.
Your favorite memory The first time I had sex. Best thirty seconds of my life.
Your favorite quote “Jusy sayin’.”
Your favorite way to spend an evening? Slouched on the couch reading something great on my Kindle, with a full bag of M&M’s and a gallon of sweet tea at the ready.
Tell us what you are working on now! Will begin the second story in the Miami Spy Games series, combining a spy thriller with zombies!
Anything you would like to say to the aspiring authors reading this blog? Yes. Stop reading this blog and go write something. And never stop writing.
