Interview with Cameo Renae
CAMEO RENAE

What was the inspiration for In My Dreams? There were three factors that inspired In My Dreams. I know I've said it in other posts, but I can't deviate from the truth. All three played a HUGE role in its birth.
First, was the passing of my mother-in-law. She was a beautiful woman, and cancer stole her life too fast. After she passed, I began to question...What really happens when we pass? Do we go to straight heaven (if we're deserving),
or do we get to stay, watch, and help our loved ones? I think In My Dreams was what I felt in my heart. I'd like to think that they are around, guiding, protecting, and watching over us.
The second, was that I am a HUGE Paranormal Fan. I love watching Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, and anything Ghost related.
And, lastly... The main thing that triggered the story was the nightmare I had. I remember waking my husband up, and telling him about it. It really scared me! He thought it was cool, and told me that it'd make a great story. So...that's what I did. The next day I started writing, and the nightmare became the first part of Chapter 1.
Do you believe unicorns are real? OMG...Of course I do! I have loved unicorns since I was a little girl. You can even ask my mom. I used to draw them all the time, and am still searching and waiting for the day I see one.
Favorite thing to do on a Saturday morning? SLEEP IN!!!
Do you have an embarrassing guilty pleasure?
Watching Thor a little more than I should. Chris Hemsworth. *sigh* (Hey...my hubby is the one who bought it!) I can't wait to see Snow White and the Huntsman!
Chips or Pretzels? Chocolate covered pretzels
Vampires or Zombies?
I LOVE ZOMBIES, but vampires are much more sexy! Was that a clear answer?
Romance or Horror? Romantic Horror??? lol But, if I had to choose one, I'd probably choose romance.
Dogs or Cats? Dogs that don't shed. I'm highly allergic to pet dander. Aaah~chooo!
Captain Crunch or Lucky Charms?
Definitely Captain Crunch - Either Peanut-Butter or Crunch-Berry. (I love the berries only~yum!)
Facebook or Twitter? Facebook. It's easier to meet and connect with friends. I've met some the most AMAZING people on FB, and they are now very close (yet distant) friends.
First thing that comes to mind when I say the word Spiral.. The 60's... In my mind I'm picturing a spiral on a Tye-dyed background with a Peace-Sign. Yep...I'm weird!
Do you play video games?
I used to...and I was pretty dang awesome. I especially loved the shooting games...you know, the ones with the plastic gun that you'd point at the screen.
I had the fastest trigger finger in the house! Even beat my son, who was the expert gamer. Smoke even bellowed from the barrel of that plastic gun when I was done! LOL I guess I'd have to give props to my distant relative...Wyatt Earp. Yes. We are somehow related. My great-grandmother's maiden name was Earp. The family even did a genealogy report and said we were connected to him. Cool huh!
Anything you want to say to the aspiring writers reading the blog? Read a lot, and keep writing! And, don't ever give up. Whenever you hit a block, find a way to push through it. Music really helps me with writers block, and finding the right music for the scene seems to
make everything flow.
And of course...don't forget to EDIT! I really hate that part. :p

It was happening again. The dreams. The nightmares. It was something seventeen year-old Elizabeth “Lizzy” Hayes thought she’d outgrown…dreams that would come true…detailed premonitions of how people would die. But this time, she dreams about her boyfriend, Michael Young, and soon discovers that he’s been found… dead.
Michael hasn’t crossed over because he was murdered, and now, his murderer is coming for Lizzy. His spirit won’t rest until she’s safe. As a newbie spirit, the easiest way for him to make contact is through Lizzy’s dreams. When she dreams, it’s as if he’s still alive…still with her…and that gives her strength.
But Lizzy must learn to pull on her own inner strength to survive horrifying events. Meanwhile, in the spirit world, Michael learns everything he can about his supernatural gifts to help. But will it be enough to save her?
