Two fantastic Romance authors answered questions for this amazing hop, with so many amazing authors, and bloggers.

Cat Miller and Teresa Mummert –  Thanks for being here…

Let’s get right to the nitty gritty ladies.

What are the sexiest scenes to write?

Cat Miller – I think the sexiest scenes are between longtime lovers. There is nothing like being with someone that knows exactly where your buttons are and in which order to push them.

Teresa Mummert – I love the first kiss. The anticipation of finally touching for the first time. Very hot.

Who is the sexiest male character in any book, and who is the sexiest female in any book?

Cat Miller – I think the sexiest male character in a book is Lucan Thorne from the Midnight Breed by Lara Adrian. He is a leader protecting the world from a hellish fate in need of a woman who is strong enough to protect him from himself.

I love strong female characters. Merit from The Chicagoland Vampire Series by Chloe Neill is a very sexy female character. Her life as she knows is destroyed and she is been repeatedly kicked while she’s down. Does Merit wallow in self-pity and cry over her misfortune? No. Merit gets up, brushes herself off and flips the world the middle finger before she kicks its butt. Very, very sexy.

Teresa Mummert – That’s a tough one to answer. I don’t really have a favorite. I love any male who is strong and dominant. The female tends to fall in love easily and willing to risk it all for the man she loves. Let’s be honest. We all just copy and paste our faces to the heroine.

Your idea of the perfect romantic date.

Cat Miller – My idea of the perfect romantic date involves carry-out, candles, no distractions from phones or TVs, a quiet house, and my man willing to do whatever it takes to talk me into the bedroom.

Teresa Mummert – The beach.

Do you have a favorite romantic quote?

Cat Miller – My favorite love quote, believe it or not, is by Bruce Lee.

“Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable.”

Emily – Smart man!

Teresa Mummert – I love you. (What more do you need?)

Did you steal your mom’s romance novels when you were old enough to try?

Cat Miller –  Sadly for me my mother was never a big reader. I didn’t have access to romance novels until I was much older.

Teresa Mummert – Absolutely!

Emily – I did, and I was horrified at my mother’s choice of literature!

Did you skip to the sex parts, be honest…

Cat Miller – If I had been able to get my hands on any romance novels I would not have skipped the sexy parts. I likely would have copied them down so I could revisit them later. You know, for educational purposes.

Teresa Mummert – What fun would that be?

Your favorite romance author?

Cat Miller – My favorite romance author is Lisa Kleypas. Lisa writes captivating historical romances as well as contemporary love stories that I have read over and over.

Teresa Mummert – I can’t pick just one!

Emily – That’s cheating Teresa!

Your favorite love story; it can be a book, poem, true story, or movie…

Cat Miller – My favorite love story happens in the second part of the novel Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Acheron is a man/god who devotes his 10,000 year life to protect and providing for others. Acheron is mentally, physically, and emotionally abused in his youth (Which is explored in the first part of the book) but instead of making him hard and hateful he takes on the role of a protector. He holds himself apart from everyone and anyone that could expose his secrets. It’s a very lonely life. It takes a mousy archeologist out to defend her family name and find proof of the things he has spent his life hiding to crack his shell.

Teresa Mummert – The Notebook is one of the best love stories of all time.

Emily – I cry thinking about it..
