Writing is embedded in my soul, so I think I’ve always known I wanted to write. But to be more specific, it was in 7th grade. We had an assignment to write our own story and I let loose! My story was about a headless ghost and though I passed the assignment, my teacher left me notes saying it was too gory and I had a huge imagination. If she only knew! Haha!
Were you nervous the first time you put your work out there?
Absolutely! I was a ball of nerves even though it was a fanfic. The feedback was impeccable so I continued to write.
What is your favorite genre to write?
Paranormal Romance all the way! I love the fact that I’m able to get lost in things that aren’t normally possible in everyday life.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Of course I have to say the genre I love to write but along with that I love a great horror, thriller and a bit of mystery.
Do you have a favorite author?
Now that’s hard! As I quote I love says, “Asking a bookworm to name their favorite book is like asking a mother to pick their favorite child.” But I’ll go for Gena Showalter, Michelle Rowen and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Is there anything you want to write about, that you haven’t yet?
Yes! I’m always thinking outside the box, I don’t want to stick to just one genre. Something I want to work on is my comedy in books. But recently I’ve decided I might want to do a mid-evil type of book, but with a twist.
What is one silly fact about you?
I love to reread and act out the character’s points of view from my books. (Embarrassing, but it helps me know the passion of the character).
Do you have a favorite character you have written so far?
Lucien from my work in progress entitled “Lucien’s Hellbound Angel”
Spaghetti or Lasagna and why?
Lasagna all the way! I just love the noodles and making it homemade!
How do you feel about Vampires?
I am one! Haha they are my favorite paranormal beings. The original Fright Night is and was my favorite growing up.
What is your favorite type of candy?
Chocolate. I love the smell and how it melts in your mouth. It makes you forget all your worries for the moment you eat it.
You are going on a picnic with a character from any novel who would it be, and what would you bring?
Hmm…Let’s go with Sin or Acheron from the Sherrilyn Kenyon series. I love men who have battered past and love to try and fix them. I’m a sucker for the Nightingale Effect. I’d bring chocolate!! Haha
Anything you want to say the aspiring writers read?
I know everyone hates hearing the same lines, but they prove to be true. Don’t give up. If you love to write then write! Don’t let anyone tell you no. Even if you have different approaches. There are many people out there that may love exactly what you do but don’t know how to put it on paper so…be THEIR voice.
