Celebrations of a seaside towns’ maritime history are put on hold as a ship’s crew receive a surprise in the early hours of a summers’ morning. D.I. Jim Taylor has to deal with language barriers and illegal workers to unravel the mystery. Does he succeed or will he be left frustrated. Can other officers impress Jim as he works the case?
When did you first decide you wanted to write?
I started writing 4 years ago when I joined a local writing group.’
Did you get nervous the first time you put your work out there?
I wasn’t nervous about my work being out as I just wanted to know what others thought of it.
What is your favorite genre to write?
I write crime stories.
Do you have a favorite author?
My favourite author is Colin Dexter.
Is there something you want to write about, that you haven’t yet?
Not sure that there is something else. I would like to write one short story so far has been a fantasy, and I think I would like to try other genres.
One silly fact about you.
The only silly fact I can think of is I don’t like my feet touched, this is something my girlfriend doesn’t understand it as she loves her feet rubbed.
Spaghetti or Lasagna and why?
Lasagna as I like the meat mixture.
Anything you would like to say to the aspiring authors reading this blog?
Advice for others is never give up and enjoy your writing and everything else that will happen because of it.
